Hi Guys,

I am using backtrack5 since yesterday. I tried to get the password of MY w-lan because I wanted to try if it even works.
But when I type: airmon-ng i don't see any interfaces.
I asked mrs google and many people said one reason could be that my wireless card is not compatible. BUt I am not sure if mine is compatible.
I just give you as many information as possible so... when I type ifconfig -a i'll et this:
root@bt:~# ifconfig -a

1st I would like to know how you are using backtrack

Is it vmware? or HDD install?

Is your wifi integrated or usb?

What is the model and brand of your wifi?

I will be able to help you out... I have been away for a while because my computer died and now I got a new one and haven't been checking here.

Get back to me if you are still there so I can help you out.
